event - 12/12/2008 - 2008 Christmas Party
Its time for us to celebrate another fantastic
year and celebrate the impending traditional
and festive period know as Christmas. To mark
this occasion the WRX Club of Queensland has
put together a dinner to be enjoyed by all members,
partners and families.
There will be prizes, giveaways and presentations
for our victorious winners of the BDA Motorsport
Championship and WRX Experience Social Championship.
We will also be drawing the SubiEvolution Raffle
on the night. And remember, if you win and you
are present, you have first choice of the great
array of prizes.

- Annual Club Nav Run
This navigation style event will be run around
the roads of South East Queensland and will
start in the morning from a central Brisbane
location and include a break for lunch.
The prize for the winner will be a voucher
for $1200 from Jax Quickfit Tyres.

A private track day has been organised at Lakeside

- Subievolution Motorkhana Competition
One of our many fantastic club sponsors has
arranged a motorkhana competition for the 28th
of September with winners competing for a share
in over $1800 of prizes supplied by Subievolution.
This day will reward consistent driving, you
do not need the fastest car or any performance
modifications. YOU WILL BE RACING AGAINST YOURSELF
in a regularity style event.
The day is open to club members ONLY. If you

- Morgan Park Driver Training/Trackday
The day will be run by SDT and they will have
experinced driving instructors on hand for tution.
The day will comence at 8am till 12 noon when
we break for lunch then for those who wish to
have a bit of an open session and put into practise
what they learnt in the morning session can
do so.

- Mark Van Beek Dyno Day
Unfortunately Mark's fight with cancer has come
to an end.
Whether you are a current WRX Club of QLD member,
just an owner with a WRX, or anyone who wishes
to contribute to this day, then please come
along to support Mark's cause. Member or not
you will contribute to making this day a huge
success.
This event has been made possible by CNJ who
have kindly offered to donate all proceeds from
the day in memory of Mark. There are some great
prizes on offer, and there will be a number
of items auctioned during the day so please
come along and enjoy a great day whilst supporting
a great cause.

- APC Dyno Day
Nick and the gang at APC are putting on a dyno
day this coming weekend for the WRX Club of
QLD.
All participants will receive a copy of their
dyno run, and we'll also have the club marquee
there for shade and also a free BBQ. There are
a limited number of spots so get in early to
reserve your spot.

- WRX Club QLD Club Member sets fastest time
in a WRX around the Gatton Sprints
The Gatton Sprints were held over the weekend
with a strong turnout from current and past
members. A big shoutout to Nev for clocking
the fastest time around the track ever in a
WRX - a 36.92. Nev also finished 6th in the
top 10 shootout. Steve ran his Subaru evolution
around in a blisteringly quick 35.4! Congratulations
also to Jonothan for his 38.078 and Simon for
his 39.00

The LVMA driver training day at the Roadcraft
Driver Training Centre at Gympie was a fantastic
success with everyone enjoying themselves and
exploring the limits of their cars. Judging
by the success of this day there will be another
one not too far in the future!
