Unfortunately Mark's fight with cancer has come
to an end.
Whether you are a current WRX Club of QLD member,
just an owner with a WRX, or anyone who wishes
to contribute to this day, then please come
along to support Mark's cause. Member or not
you will contribute to making this day a huge
success.
This event has been made possible by CNJ who
have kindly offered to donate all proceeds from
the day in memory of Mark. There are some great
prizes on offer, and there will be a number
of items auctioned during the day so please
come along and enjoy a great day whilst supporting
a great cause.

Upcoming
event - 23/8/2007 - Morgan Park Driver Training/Trackday
The day will be run by SDT and they will have
experinced driving instructors on hand for tution.
The day will comence at 8am till 12 noon when
we break for lunch then for those who wish to
have a bit of an open session and put into practise
what they learnt in the moirning session can
do so.

- APC Dyno Day
Nick and the gang at APC are putting on a dyno
day this coming weekend for the WRX Club of
QLD.
All participants will receive a copy of their
dyno run, and we'll also have the club marquee
there for shade and also a free BBQ. There are
a limited number of spots so get in early to
reserve your spot.

- WRX Club QLD Club Member sets fastest time
in a WRX around the Gatton Sprints
The Gatton Sprints were held over the weekend
with a strong turnout from current and past
members. A big shoutout to Nev for clocking
the fastest time around the track ever in a
WRX - a 36.92. Nev also finished 6th in the
top 10 shootout. Steve ran his Subaru evolution
around in a blisteringly quick 35.4! Congratulations
also to Jonothan for his 38.078 and Simon for
his 39.00

The LVMA driver training day at the Roadcraft
Driver Training Centre at Gympie was a fantastic
success with everyone enjoying themselves and
exploring the limits of their cars. Judging
by the success of this day there will be another
one not too far in the future!

- WRX Club of QLD Christmas Party
The Christmas Party has been run. Thanks to
everyone who attended.
The Social Club Champions for 2007 are Dan
(1st), Adam (2nd) and Scott (3rd).
The Motorsport Club Champions for 2007 are
Nev (1st), Chris (2nd) and Scott (3rd).
Congratulations to everyone who competed.

- WRX Club Wins ICC Khanacross and ICC Series
A huge congratulations go out to Nev, Chris,
Paul and Scott who won the ICC Khanacross at
Parklands on the Gold Coast. In doing so, the
club has clinched the ICC series for the year.
Well done to all those members who competed
in events during the year.

The WRX Club of QLD won the ICC Dirtsprint today,
beating home favourites IWMAC. Congratulations
to Nev, Dave, Scott, Chris and Bob for a solid
weekend and for taking the club to the lead
of the ICC series.

- IWMAC Autocross @ Willowbank
 IWMAC
are holding an autocross on the 14th october
at willowbank. The following link will give
you access to both the supp regs and entry forms.
For those that havent run before it is the best
fun you will have with your clothes on. The
track surface is a hard packed granite base
(gravel) with plenty of run off area. the next
event of the ICC will be held at this track
on the 11th Nov so if you havent been there
before its a good chance to have a run.

- QLD Challenge
The results are in from the QLD Challenge navigational
touring event on the weekend. Check them out

Congrats to Jon and Simon for their outright
second placing! Honourable mentions also to
Al Kelly for his 7th outright, Chris Knight
for her 9th outright and Shane Topping for his
3rd placing in the speed tests.
It was a great day to be a WRX owner, the mighty
rex filled 7 of the top 12 outright places.
